Fender Eliminator

Has anybody thought of removing the ugly rear fender extension which holds the license plate? I was thinking to do so and use a fender eliminator kit to install the license plate under the tail of my C650GT. Let me know what your thoughts are.
Thanks

I am not sure about the GT, but my photos of using an S1000rr fender elim kit from Yosimura is in the gallery.

I had thought of it, but now I'm interested in purchasing the Givi semi-hard panniers for my sport. Im not sure the two will work together. Doraemon, since you have already installed the kit, do you think that it would impede the installiation of hard saddlebags?

the GIVI kit does not attach to the tail or fender. it attaches at the rear foot pegs and then up at a special attach point unter the handles of the seat. then there is a cross bar, but the install guide doesn't indicate attaching anywhere else.

I am considering them myself, however, I just did a week long trip to a customer in eastern wa and packed tools and clothes into a tail pack (cortech) and under the seat. worked out great!

I saw that, but in the pictures it shows that the license plate is well away from the actual pannier in the pic. I guess the plate would just ride between the bags. I was concerned about spacing...guess ill order the bags and then see if moving the plate works.

Thanks

I found a good place. I will remove the rear fender and attached the license plate below the rack, above the tail lights! No additional hardware needed! :)

Wunderlicht has a nice carbon fiber piece that I'll be installing very soon. Just have to translate the German instructions
