Headlight pro

Hi guys, my ce 04 has adaptive headlight pro. It just adds extra light while leaning which is poor and not bright enough. Low or high beams not rotating. Is my adaptive headlights malfunctioning or it’s what bmw offer?

Also low beams are poor I can’t see 10 meters away at night. I took it to service and they said that they adjusted it. Nothing changed. My $2000 scooter’s headlight was better.

Sounds like maybe it is a bmw ‘feature’. Soft of like the steering dampener they put in the steering head of the R18 bike (maybe select models). It seems somewhat useless based on what I read from others. Guessing it tosses such light extra light it is not effective much at all.

I've got Headlight Pro on my 22 CE 04. I can't say that it does anything essential although I never carry a pillion and the relatively short suspension travel probably doesn't demand much of the self-levelling system. The only thing I notice is a vague lighting up to one side when leaning into a sharpish corner but not any rotation of the beam. Anyway, I've long disposed of my slight disappointment in the Headlight Pro system since the headlights are pretty good once low beam is adjusted properly. From new, the low beam pointed down far too much so I adjusted it myself by taking off the front panel and turning the up/down beam adjustment knob. Note that there are two knobs for headlamp adjustment, the other does left/right.

I have headlight pro as well but the only thing I’ve noticed so far when activating them is that the drl’s get much brighter

I haven’t used the scooter at night since I mainly just plan to use it during daylight, but I did try out the low/hi beams at home when it was dark outside, low seems a bit weak but hi definitely seemed to brighten up a lot of real estate on the road ahead of me, yet I have no idea if they actually turn or just shot extra light on the sides when turning

I adjust the lamp and now I can see lot better.

The corner light, beam, is weak but on a dark road it is helpful. I think.
