I believe that you'd just need the new grips and seat.

That is, take a look at a parts diagram. In your case, I was looking at https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/DiagramsMain.aspx?vid=60735&rnd=09082020 . This is listed as pertaining to the 2018 - 2020 C 400 X, and there doesn't appear to be a newer fiche, at least at Max BMW (https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/partsfiche.aspx). So let's make the assumption that nothing significant has changed, if you have a newer model.

Next, scroll down to the grips diagram:

You can see that there are different grips, based on whether they're heated or not.

Last, scroll farther down, to the wiring harness:

Unlike the grips, there is only one wiring harness available.

This is what I would've guessed to be the case, and, to me, implies that your bike comes with a harness that already has the wiring in place for heated grips and seat, i.e., unused connectors tucked away someplace. Of course, you might need new grips, seat, and new switchgear to control them, which might be more than you want to spend or work on.

Bottom line: I don't actually know the answer to your question, but the info above explains why my guess is that your bike is wired for either situation, i.e., heat or no heat.

hello,
you could not be more specific on my question!
From those you posted above indicates clearly (if nothing changed to YM23) that harness is present and only the fitting of new grips or seat need to take place.
As the connectors are present(maybe) i believe also the indicaton on TFT screen will be available and actived after installation.

Thank you a lot for your answer and i will post photos etc when i proceed with replacement!

Don't forget that I assume that in addition to the grips themselves (and seat) you will also need a new starter-button ring, to control the connectors, once you locate them:

Good luck on your project.

Yes indeed but as far i saw, on the existing ring there are the "precut" button holes for placing the button/s. So i assume that go straight there.
I will place the order and wait for the installation.. hope everything to go smoothly!
Thanks for your answers!

I would chase down installing the grips but the heated seat to me is a gimmick. I used to have a quad that I rode year round and I never recall having a cold butt even with temps into the teens. Plus when it's on, it's the same sensation to me that I get on a hot summer day (I think they call it monkeybutt?) and is uncomfortable and it really does nothing to keep me warm. Now the heated grips I will use those into the upper 60's.
