Hello all,
My name is Bob and I live and work in London, UK.

I placed my order today for a new 650 GT, but I've been told it won't be ready to pick for at least 4 to 6 weeks! Not sure why there is such a delay, but I'm in no rush. The extra time will be used for looking through this forum for all the additional goodies one must add to ones shiny new steed.

The first thing I need is a quality front fender extender. Any recommendations?

Welcome to the gang, Bob. Looking for stuff to add is fun for sure. If you haven't thought of it yet, you might want to consider a Kaoko throttle lock if touring is on the agenda.

I'm going from a 1200GS TE to the Scoot. I've had a blast on her for the last two years, but with changes to work and the need to commute in urban environments the GS was too much like hard work.
I don't regret giving up the GS. It has been the best bike I have ever owned and I will always look back on her with a grin on my face, but it's time to move on to something new.

Hey Bob,

I can sure understand moving to the CGT as your bike of choice, but, yeah, the GS is a great bike. Sounds like a UMV is made for you. Post some pictures and first impressions when you get a chance.
