Helmets - again!!

I got an email from Bell helmets. It stated that they are getting closer to having a location to scan heads in the New England area. I was going to buy a new helmet this spring, and will now wait until I can get scanned, and maybe get a helmet that actually fits my oval head comfortably.

Guess I'm lucky. I have a great helmet shop real close to where I live. They do a good job fitting you and have a great return policy too.

I have an HJC modular that works well with my glasses and hearing aids. I usually do put the glasses on once I have the helmet on because if I wear glasses while putting the lid on sometimes my glasses get shifted on one side or the other. If I remember I take my behind the ear aids off but the helmet will go on without disturbing them. I really like this helmet with its internal dark sunglass shield that snaps up or down. Only downside is that like most of these kind of helmets this one is a bit noisier than my 3/4 Bell Mag8.

Ex...Kinda funny about you leaving hearing aids in considering we try to cut down on the noise via plugs, etc. I am about to get fitted for a couple myself and will be trying the inner ear variety. I hope I am able to get as comfortable with mine as you are with yours but hopefully won't forget to take mine out as I have had an ear plug/helmet routine for quite awhile now.

Then again, even with my "routine" I have ridden away with my chin strap not done up, so I guess I can expect to really be able to hear the wind once or twice when my mind says the things in my ears are plugs. LOL:D

Well expensive as it is I can certainly say the Neotec is amazing. Helmet and glasses on in half the time now. Exceptionally comfortable with no pressure points that I have had with every helmet I have used so far. Noise with vents closed is no issue at all and difficult to tell its modular. With vents open just a bit of a whistle but not unlike any other helmet vents open I have experienced. Shortly fitting the Scala QZ Bluetooth so I can keep the eyes in the road for GPS instructions!
