yup, not ridden my sport sinse october now and getting the itch, had some rain here the last few days so the rocksalt should soon be washed away so new month and i have taxed baxter for the summer i have never done this before as i usually ride all year round and i certainly have never only taxed for just 6 months!! i also have never SORN a vehicle before but did baxter back in december last year..........i must be getting old or something.
here's to a hopefully sunny summer season and putting some more miles down

I'm guess this is the same as "Registering" would be in the US. In the US, we are registered year round, though some States allow you to insure only during the "Riding Months." Here in New York State, ALL motorcycle registrations expire at the end of April. Not sure how other States do it. It sucks because if you buy a new motorcycle before May, you have to register it for the entire PREVIOUS year, and then register it AGAIN at full price as soon as May 1st rolls around.

that sucks, our system is road fund tax and comes with every new vehicle for a year from the date of registration. after that year you can re tax for another year or if over 125cc 6 months or you can SORN (staturate off road notice) in the last year they have changed some of the ruling over the tax, this is to do with selling the vehicle so as the new owner has to tax the vehicle and to do this they need insurance. its to stop people buying taxed and tested vehicles and not getting insured.
if only the wording "road fund tax" was actually put back into keeping the roads in good condition!!
