Nice scoot. I presume yours is the metallic gray/black color combination. I’ll be getting mine in a couple months. I hope that color is still available. I see a dark blue color will be available on the/a 2024 model. I still want the gloss metallic gray. Probably my last 2 wheel purchase. Getting old w/medical issues. No more MCs or heavy bikes for me. Reviewed all the mid size/350 and up scooters available here in the USA. Considered a Piaggio BV 400 ( also silver/black) but the Beemer is just so beautiful. Thanks. Be well.

It is the traditional BMW Calisto Grey Metallic color that is used in their auto division; I like the color quite a bit too. The blue looks really sharp also and I like blue bikes (wife owned a different model in blue and it was beautiful). I agree the C400GT is a really good looking scoot and t has much better ergos (for me) than the BV which is a beautiful machine also. I like the Italian bikes, and they are great to look at as an observer, but the aesthetics drive me away from owning one if that makes sense.

Yes their scoots look a bit different. Very functional and I like the technical aspects of the BV 400, but feel that I will not have enough fairing coverage for rain and or colder weather ( what little we have in south Texas). Also the ergonomics is one position. Vespa/Piaggio Dealer is about same mileage <> as the BMW dealer. I won’t need to visit dealer unless I have a bad warranty issue. I’ve been known to buy parts and repair bike(s) even under warranty unless very expensive- which has never happened to the many MCs and scooters I’ve owned.

I just wanted to comment on the weather protection expectation. I agree that the C400GT is likely better than the BV400, in comparison. That said, the weather protection on the BMW looks better than it actually performs. It is not terrible but not great either; mediocre I guess would be accurate. This is my opinion and others obviously may differ. The stock screen drives water to the outside of the mirrors, too, which then drips and hits an air stream and paints me with a mist right about at the solar plexus. Easy enough to fix with mirror extenders but that is only one element of mediocrity in its weather protection performance. But I love this bike and am willing to live with that!
