Motoscan diagnostic error codes 2018 c650gt

Hello, I've just begun using Motoscan App+OBDII+a cheap android tablet to successfully reset service schedules and trouble codes.

Having never done it before, I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was after I switched on the ignition and eventually found the correct model "K19 MU". NB i'm using the paid "basic" level of motoscan licence/subscription.

Obviously, once you reset the error codes, they return if the error persists. I was surprised to find three known (indicated on dash) and unknown (not indicated on dash) troubles, I believe these are called "shadow codes". I haven't yet found a list of error codes and explanations, so does anyone have any ideas?

"B7F60B Brake light" Known - I installed an inline rear brake light flasher behind the rear right panel which appears to continue to trigger this error. I assume it's detecting a different impedance - I would love to permanently clear this error but I believe the brake light flasher is worth having in the traffic I ride in, so am resigned to accept this error if I must as a trade off. Screenshot attached.

"B7F617 EWS terminal 15" Unknown. No idea. (?) I know "EWS" means "immobilizer" but I've not had any issues.

"B7F61F side view assist LED right". Known - would this be the glove in the sideview alert on the mirror? - it works as far as I have tested. Screenshot attached.

Overall I am pleased with the diagnostic tool and glad I'll be able to tackle the TPMS issues when it arises and carry out services myself. The error codes are not the end of the world if I can't clear them. Just curious if anyone has had similar and was able to fix without having to go to the dealer. many thanks.

I've not had these codes but if I were you I would clear them and see what comes back and research those only. The first one seems unavoidable if you maintain the flasher as you say, unless there is a way to modify the installation with a resistor or what have you.
I bought the Ultimate Motoscan version years ago when I started doing my own work on my C650 and now it also helps me with my F800ST. It was not expensive to get the Ultimate version at the time as I recall.

I was wondering what the ultimate or professional motoscan licence gives you over the basic, as in my basic edition, on some function, it states “not available in professional licence”, seemingly indicating that even the top tier of the product does not do everything. I suppose this is supported by other reading I’ve been done which indicates some overall limitations of using motoscan versus say the Motorad software, which one dealer told me cost $10,000!. Anyway, I’m happy with what i can do for the cost - mostly at the excellent functionality of a $60 android tablet off Amazon (I’ve always had iPhones). Amazing!

I think this is associated with the blind spot protection option that BMW made available after the 2016 model year refresh (in Europe only, if memory serves).

If you don't have that option on-board your bike, obviously clear the code. If you do, I'd still clear it, because the system has been pretty roundly panned as bad. :)

I do have that option - yes indeed it’s a very silly option. The fact the error is alluding an LED light is interesting and yet no obvious failure of the SVA light globe. Seems like you can switch off the SVA function but the error still persists.
