If someone has a spare minute, could you get a level and measure tape and give me the distance from the 400GT hump ( where gas tank lid is) to the ground. In other words how high must you lift your foot up to clear the center hump when mounting the scooter. One of the reasons I did not consider the Kymco AK 550. That distance/dimension is 26” (current owner of one gave me the measurement. My medical conditions tell me no-no on this height. I can do it but w/a lot of pain. Thanks for your time and any replies.

I'd help you out, but my scoot is in the shop. I'm certain someone else will give you the measurements shortly.

Why I'm posting at all is to remind you -- and I'm not trying to be a smartass here, because sometimes we overlook things -- that with the scoot on the centerstand you can also get seated by first stepping on a floorboard (either one) to raise yourself up, and then lift the other leg a much smaller amount than the overall height of the hump. Well, I don't know, of course, but I'm assuming that your physical condition allows you to do this, which may be incorrect.

In conjunction with this, let me also state that the C 400 (X & GT) is the easiest scoot or bike I've ever owned to park via the centerstand. The leverage, length of parts, etc., etc., is just so well designed that it takes very nearly no oomph at all to get it in that position: if you're able, you can just put a very modest amount of weight on the centerstand lever, with no pulling back at, or pull back a bit on a grab rail, with pretty much no weight down at all. Pushing the bike forward, to get it off the centerstand is not quite as trivial, but it's also pretty easy (unless you're facing uphill, or something like that).

So if you were thinking -- yeah, another presumption on my part here -- that you won't regularly be putting the bike on the centerstand, you might be wrong.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming ...

Approx. 22" (bike held vertically and not on centerstand)
