So I bought my BMW in March. I was not able to take it to NC for my regular gathering in the spring, because my dash was messed up (replaced quickly, all is fine), so I rode the MP3 over, including the Dragon. I had plans throughout the summer to get the BMW over there for a couple of days, but they all fell thru. I'm going to be over there later this month and will probably ride the Dragon then, but I needed it now.
Yesterday was forecast to be cool and overcast. I took off at 6:30, picked up Oldasdirt (from ModernVespa fame) on the way and we rode the dragon and then decided to hit the Cherahola Skyway too. Great day, couple of small showers, but not for the best twisty parts. BMW acquitted itself well on the trip! 460 miles and I can't say enough about my Corbin saddle - would never have tried that long a day on any of my bikes. A bit sore today, but not in the seat region!
