Power socket capacity

Hi to all!

I got C650GT few days ago and I'm really enjoying it.

I'm thinking I could use air pump using the power socket in the left glove box.

The pump works under 12V - 40W condition,
which means it needs less than 4A.

As far as I know, the fuse allows 7.5A, I think it should be fine with the pump.
Do you guys agree?

The fuse is sized to protect the wiring not the battery or load. There should be plenty of current available for the air pump but check your battery amp hour rating because using the compressor solely with the battery might run it down. Idling the engine wouldn't help much because the alternator doesn't put out much current below 3000rpm or so. If you have a throttle lock you could put the bike on the center stand set the throttle at 3k rpm and run the compressor. Of course that wouldn't help much if you needed air in the rear tire.
I usually carry compressed CO2 cartridges. It'll take two to refill a completely flat rear tire after plugging a nail hole. The cartridges are small and work much faster than a compressor. The threaded cartridges are the most reliable.
