The scooter was running perfectly before the bank holiday then started it up to go to work yesterday morning(bit cool, but not raining) and it idled but just would not rev unless I gave it full gas.....(but not having full power)
Nightmare journey into work as it's London rush hour and every traffic light seemed to be at red! So lots of bogging down off when setting off, then a delay, then 'wooomff'....off at full speed, then on the brakes to gain control.
I called the local BMW dealer and he agreed that he'd look at it and made a provisional booking in case it didn't get better.
Going home then changed the characteristics: Lumpy tick over and having to feather the throttle to keep it from stalling, but once moving seemed almost quicker than normal.
After a few miles it just got lumpier and lumpier then combined both characteristics of morning/afternoon - became virtually unrideable then the engine warning light came on. Managed to limp home.
Oh, forgot to mention it used nearly a half a tank of fuel to go 15 (urban)miles.
That was it.
It's at home now and I'm trying to get hold of the dealer to book it in asap, but in the meantime thought I'd post on here to see if anyone's had the same experience.
Feels like CDI to me. First I thought it could've been some crap in the petrol blocking something up.
Anyway - any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Cheers, Hilton
