Hello all
Well i had the 6k service done on my BMW C 650 GT today. They did the service on it and adjusted the valves. Everything else was good timing chain / chain tensioner was good did oil change for motor and transmission. Now the clicking noise that i still have is
somthing else internally. The head manger said it was something like a orphis or screw causing the clicking sound. The BMW tech
who worked on it said he had 1 other bike that had the same problem. He said it would be a bitch to get at and cost 6 to 8 hrs at
$ 110.00 per hr. A couple of months ago i had stopped at the dealer Wild West Motoplex to ask them about the clicking sound. The
Head service manager and other guys that at the counter said it was not the chain tensioner or timing chain or valves being off.
They were right. Now when i go to take off it sounds like the valves tapping but it's not that. It's something internal that is hard
to get at. sorry i am not mechanically inclined. But the GOOD news is they put on the front tire and the 6 k service for $440.00.
I had the oil and filter so that kept the price down to and the front tire.

If those techs were not worried about it causing problems then I would just leave it (although annoying). I have someting similar on my car: a rattle going over bumps. Took me a long time to find the cause: loose-fitting (although OEM) front brake pads I installed recently. Now that I know what it is it doesn't really bother me anymore particularly b/c they work better than the old, silent ones they replaced.

They said IF it gets worse bring the bike in. My bike started with a clicking noise a couple of months later after
i bought it from someone else. When i bought the bike last may it did not have any issues at all . Just a couple
of weeks ago i noticed that the sounds changed to like valves tapping. So i guess i will wait n see what
happens next. Cuz the cost of fixing it would be around $900 or more. I still LOVE this bike i even noticed that
the mpg has dropped down to 47.9 mpg. When i bought it i was getting 50 to 52 mpg i think that's cuz of
the valves being not adjusted. But that has been taken care of.

Adjusting the valves at 6K ? I'm riding a SYM 400 and checked the valves with 50K and they were spot on. Just wondering about the Kymco Engine in my C650GT ??

I think i have bought a lemon First it was the lagging that i mentioned in another post. Another BMW owner also
had it. The rear wheel would lag when going at slow speeds 0 to 38 mph i would feel the lagging. I did ask the
shop manager to have the BMW tech take it for a ride and he did when the 6 k and front tire were done.
He did not feel any kind of lagging. I did not feel the lagging when i first bought the bike. 2.5 months later that
started first. Now i feel the lagging on the rear wheel all the time.. Then the clicking sound started i mentioned
that here as well. Then after months of not having it looked at by the dealer. I started to hear like the
valves tapping and it was NOT the valves. The only options are for me is to just ride the bike til
something goes one or 2 items listed. or buy another bike? I LOVE this BEEMER but the issues. What i should
do is contact the main header quarters here in the U.S. and tell them that the bike is only 6 yrs old and only
had 5 k when these 2 problems started happening and i would give the dealers name and all the stuff
they need. See what they have to say????
