That's an awesome video. Thanks for sharing. Just as I suspected from the European market 20 Sports to 5 GT's, it's quite the opposite over here, eh.

So.... What's with the C650S markings I see. I like it.

Christian:

On the same forum I ran into posts of a California ride that Mark from San Francisco took with his friend Christian. Wondered if it was you!

Here is his great picture:

Wow, it sure could have been me but it wasn't. Looks like my bike, guess I have to keep my eyes peeled. It sure would be nice if we had a rally like that one. My girl was very excited to watch the video. I've not ridden mine in almost a month because of service issues. Nite I'm totally missing the bike. Good thing we're buying another bike Saturday so at least there's something to play with... If Danielle lets me ride her new Vespa 946.

That 946 is one expensive scooter (didn't some of the motorcycle magazines say about the Beemers?), but that vintage Vespa look is really cool and the reviews are pretty spectacular (I've trying to talk my wife into something like that).

Exactly... We have a deposit on a white one. But I've promised her that I'll have the seat and grips upholstered in Tiffany blue this winter She got two promotions at work this year and it's what she wants. Plus it's her first bike and it's got just the right amount of power and size to make her comfortable. Not to mention she studied art and design in college... So of course it's gotta be that one. Besides the obvious, it turns out Piaggio had only allotted 350 examples for North America, so when she read that, she picked up the phone and called our bmw dealer to secure one. I'll let youse guys know what I think of a 10k scooter that has zero storage and will not do 100 mph..lol

Hopefully, it's expected to be good up to 60mph so that's plenty quick enough where we ride. Plus she wants to hang out with the vespa kids. I've not lost my co-pilot just yet as on our longer and faster rides she'll be on the Beemer.

Oh boy is the 946 sloooow. I rode it home for the missus and it's basically got the acceleration of the 1946 bike it's meant to replicate. Top speed was 106kph on the initial run. Build quality is top drawer. All in all it's a great first bike. 100% led lighting and it even came with a coffee table book and an executive paperweight with a cast impression of the bike. It's quite a package overall.

They really know how to market their scooters. Great website, etc. The one I rode last fall felt very slow and "toy-like", but I am sure that is because I had been riding the Beemer for awhile before I got to the store.

It's a very subjective thing, of course, but I really like the retro classic look of those scooters. I bet she has a blast with it.
