During this years trip round Spain I noticed a few drops of coolant under the bike, as the levels were OK I choose to investigate the issue on my return to the UK.
I checked the pump first by removing the 2 bolts underneath the right footboard and then wedging the front edge apart to inspect the underside. See photos below.
When the engine was hot, coolant was very slowly leaking from the Oil/Water weep hole behind the water pump, most of this was evaporating on the hot engine and not reaching the ground.
