Windscreens for C650 Sport?

Anybody updated the windscreen on the Sport, and how did it go?
I am poised to buy a Puig VTech Tour 9015H but dunno if it is worth it?
The best so far is stock in the middle position, but still windy…

I've had a few Puig screens, never on a C650 though. They've only been just okay, never really effective at reducing noise, and only in some cases meaningfully reducing buffeting. I still have the v-tech on my NC750X and just ordered a replacement from Madstad as I am riding up to Canada on it and wanted more protection, quieter, and no buffeting. Anyhow, I know it is not apples to apples but wanted to share in case it might help in your search. Oh yeah...I am a taller rider at 6' 02"

On my Sports, I've run the stock screen, then a tall Givi, and finally the Puig. Prefer the Puig out of the lot.

Head buffeting I experienced with the stock shield made me shop for aftermarket choices. Got the Givi.

Givi is a thicker screen, but mine developed small cracks at 2 of the mounting points. Also, for highway riding, I still got a hint of buffeting with the Givi I don't get with the Puig.

For reference, I'm 6'1", and have 2 modes of driving, 25-40 mph around the streets of NYC, and 65-85 mph on the highway for hundreds of miles at a clip.

If you like the stock screen in the middle position, I have no idea how relevant my experience will be for you, but I don't think you'd dislike the Puig.

Anyone tried Ermax like this one?
Again, I must plead guilty.

Had that one on my 2014 Sport. It performed worst of the lot, honestly. High speeds pushed the top edge downward 6-10 cm (depending on headwind direction), it too developed cracks, and when it came time to remove it and replace it with a Givi, I had to hacksaw off one of the supplied screws because it stripped so badly (all of them stripped to a degree, but one went that wrong).

So, if we're ranking screens, from shite to superior.
  1. Absolutely do not buy: Ermax
  2. We have Windscreen at home: Stock
  3. But I swear it'll be better: Givi/Kappa (same production lines, different stickers)
  4. This time it'll be different: Puig
And if you're wondering what my next screen will be, because I swear a noiseless nirvana exists just around the corner, it'll be a ZTECHNIK VSTREAM, in the touring model, as soon as someone has them on sale.

But for now, I'm happy enough with my Puig on my Sport, and a Givi on my GT.

After two factory screens fractured an inner layer(pretty to look at but hard to look through) I purchased a Calsci for my second 2013 GT. After it was wrecked the 2019 that I bought as a replacement has a V-Stream (sp?) on it both are better than factory but I still get buffeting. I am 6 foot even and sit as far back as my arms allow (long legs)so this affects where I am in the air flow.

I recently fitted the taller-than-stock Puig and have mixed results. Less wind on the body and helmet yes, but more wind noise.
The, earlier this week did my first 120-mile commute on my new-to-me F800ST which has virtually no windscreen to speak of and, at speeds of over 80 mph, I find that as comfortable, wind and wind noise wise, as the 650 Sport. I was surprised.
I am 6'2".

Yeah, sometimes results differ from expectations.
For example, after several years of playing with various windscreens on my previously owned T-Max, I have settled on this one,

it just follows the contours of the dash panel and covers it in front... was best for noise, you forget that air exists and focus on riding... I am afraid the same might be needed for the 650 Sport, but I have tried without any screens and the wind is pushing my torso too strong, and the petrol consumptions goes way up... Like I already spelled elsewhere, we need to sit low with storage bulky and in front... hoping Chinese will get the Vision 800 memo one day...

I am back to the sexy malossi short, while waiting for puig tour to arrive from america.
started to get thumbs up from strangers and passers by again…not much difference with noise but a tad more turbulence and consumption at speed
