It's intention is strictly for aerodynamics to move the air around brake components. However if you decided to remove them it won't make any noticeable difference in range. I like the way BMW spent time and money on these items for aerodynamics and range yet didn't put a windshield on an...
Leave it to an insurance company to find a way to screw over their customers. Even if you don't have the alarm system you do have a steering lock, owners should use it every time they get off the bike since it takes no effort other than to turn the wheel left. It's a great deterrent.
On...
Hello sorry for your problem - Are you using the supplied charger that came with the bike.
By the way - you don't have to start the bike use your FOB or do anything to charge it. Just plug it in. Once it's plugged in you can push the Menu button down and it will show charging status on your...
I play with most all modes - I like Eco for just cruising because has a soft and predictable throttle response. I'm also glad BMW got the regen backwards on Eco, so it has max regen which I like, so I barely use my service brake. When I get in traffic, hills our mountains, I like more throttle...
Just checking to see if its just me - seems almost every ride my headlight is fogged and at night is does reduce visability. Must be a double glass maybe?
While on the subject of head lights, they are a bit confusing. I run with high beam all the time in daylight. If I turn on the high beam...
Oil Oil Oil - I don't get it, on my Kia EV-6 trans-axle I get 20,000 miles before a check and on the BMW CE-04 in just 600 miles you have to dump $50 oil for what. All you really need to do is pull the magnetic drain plug clean it and stick it back in to remove any filings. You can't tell me our...
The only extras I added was a wind screen, back rest, phone holder and a 12 volt battery cable for heating clothes.
The only needed extra is a new taillight assembly relocated to seat height. Who ever come up with one gonna make some money.

Mr. EZ sounds like you're the expert on the EVO putting that many miles on it. I sure would like to hear your thoughts comparing your CE 04 to your Evo as far as comfort, handling, range, travel or what ever is on your mind. Thanks in advance - Mike
LOL yeah a grown up guy would look a bit strange on this tiny bike. It could be fun though. . .
I haul a Yamaha X max scooter on the back of my RV, tthis could be a good replacement!

It appears few owners like the boring CE-04 taillight assembly. It's far too low and way too fragile. BMW must have quit designing the bike when they got to the rear.
Not sure if another tail light mod tread was started, but I'm looking for a new assembly so I don't have to baby-sit the bike...
Yeah Verge has some serious range I thought I heard in the video 20 kw if that's right it has the same size pack as my big heavy Outlander Hybrid which has a 20 kw pack and gets 48 miles electric range . The verge range is pretty Impressive. Nice job on the bike list Tom
Are they selling Verge...
Tom 2wheelz thanks for sharing the video did not know it existed. - the Verge looks very innovative and 200+ miles now that's a bike to go touring with.
This is the one I picked out olive green model - now that's a bad-ass electric.
Mike
I looked at the Livewire 1 but as soon as I found it had goofy Level 3 DC charging it was a no go for me. Most all riders want to fast charge at home on their level 2 chargers they use on their EV. They don''t make a DC fast charger for home use so your only option is the Sloooooow 110 v...
Thanks for sharing any images you can share? It's just natural to walk around the rear of the bike and take them out, I hit mine twice but they are still there!
