Thanks for all these posts. They are extremly helpful. I think I weigh about what you weigh. I'm 228 lbs so you have done almost all the work for me if I decide to get these. I do have a large pack on the back of my bike but that should only be a click away.
Have not. But I really like the looks of the first ones you have listed and think they would look great on my white scooter. My problem is that the ones I tried hit my aftermarket windshield and these look like they would not be any better. (Maybe worse) I was very skeptical about AliExchange...
It is really strange that the seat that needs to be replaced does not have a light under the seat. I assume they put in your vin number in the order and it shows that same seat. Were there different models of the C400gt? Other wise how could this even happen? Yours is a 2023 correct? I would...
Thanks for all the information and a great review. If I have a tough time on vacation, I will be ordering a set. Need to get an idea of how good/ bad the OEM are first. At my age I'm looking for comfort above all else. Improved handling is also always welcome as well.
Thanks for sharing this information. I will likely have to get my scooter serviced in FL or as soon as I get back. I have a about 300 miles on the bike now and will likely put another 700 on during vacation. (I would at least like to get the oil changed in Daytona.) Whatever I will tell them not...
I'm keeping an eye on this post. Want to hear from mzflorida as I believe we are close to the same weight (230 lbs)
I will get some riding in during March and hopfully determine weather I need shocks or not. I never really found a shock that worked on my Indian Scout at my current weight. I...
Can't tell you what my scooter is idling at but I assume it is 14 -1500. Is anyone having a problem with the slower idle? I only have a few hundred miles on my bike. I purchased it November 14th and the sales person said he just got 3 of them including the one I got. He said it would be their...
Is it easy to get these screens off the bike? I just can't imagine why someone would want to steel them? Is it a thing like keying a Tesla? My bike is in storage in Florida waiting for me to come and ride it March 2 during bike week.
Wonder where these came from...
There is a place under the seat (on the back side of the seat, an elastic band) to put your owners manual. This might not be a good place to keep it but I thought the only time I would need it is if the battery went dead in the original key. You can still open the seat on the side with the metal...
Thought I would post this here as I did in the other thread on resetting the service reminder. It's actually for the bigger bikes but I assume it is the same procedure on the scooters...
I thought I would post this link here because I think this is the same procedure on the C400gt. If it is not let me know and I will delete this. Note you do have to purchase an OBDLink LX and the Pro version of the Motoscan App...
I got in a few more parts today. The thing that makes the kickstand bigger. (Ordered from Amazon. Really high quality but didn't fit. Had to file the oem kickstand to fit it.)
The BMW badge for my top case which I think looks great. Makes the case look like it is a BMW case. Also the white on...
Just about finished with my Shad SH58x installation. So here are a few pics. I added the Shad brake running light today. It was not worth it for the time it took to install and the little bit of extra brake running light it gives. ( Thanks wspollack again for the wireing pictures in your photo...
Shad actually shows how to do it in one of there video's and it is as the second poster states. One hand in the middle of the cover and push up. both sides go up evenly and it seems to work every time. So really not an issue, you just need to know/learn how to do it.
