    25 000 km engine dead.

As I reported back in 2022 (https://www.bmw-scooters.com/threads/bought-pdf-shop-manual-for-c-400-gt-on-ebay.2474/ ), I purchased a PDF version of the shop manual. This manual is still available on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/133967057090 . Sorry, it's in English (and refers to the C 400...

    Fault in engine control..again!

My guess is that what you were offered to buy was a third-party warranty, as opposed to an extended warranty from an arm of BMW itself. I'm basing that guess on: 1) What I was offered back in 2022, when I discussed the issue with the finance manager at Max BMW, and asked for the longest...

    Fault in engine control..again!

I don't know if this is different for Canada, or maybe it's changed here in the USA, too: back in September 2022, I bought my extended warranty for my '22 C 400 GT that I had purchased new in June 2022. As I mentioned, I had some extra cash, and just wanted to take care of that purchase before I...

    Fault in engine control..again!

I browse www.bmwlt.com/ (where I'm a member, among many other moto forums) from time to time. I've read about adaptive-cruise failures (not that I'd want that myself -- regular cruise is fine with me), BMW's replacing drive shafts on late-model RTs, and so forth. So it seems as if BMW is having...

BMW C400 GT (2020) Roller Weights

Disclaimer: I have no personal experience with the rollers, never taken the CVT apart, don't intend to, etc. However: If I were a betting man, I'd bet on 18 grams. Here's why: 1) I went to the parts fiche page of Max BMW. (I imagine other Beemer sites have this same info, but I'm used to...

    Fault in engine control..again!

That's pretty soon, March '26. Me, I would get the warranty. There are so many (and expensive) things that can go wrong with these scoots, as both of us have seen. I plan on getting the longest possible warranty for my '23, just as I did for my '22. Only difference is that I will not buy it...

Excellent. Glad this worked out for you. Sounds like a dealership to recommend, whoever they are.

    Sport Display on TFT

This is something that is already present in the stock firmware, that just needs to be unlocked, activated, that sort of thing? That is, unlike, say, the "M Power" screens that I've seen on a few videos from Asia, which I'm pretty sure require custom programming, this is a "corporate" feature...

    Software Version?

Just went out to the garage, and mine is the same: One might assume that when the local shop installed my TPMS sensors on Oct. 1 (www.bmw-scooters.com/threads/2025-tpms.3557/post-30463 ) and did the necessary programming that the overall software was updated to the latest version (if it...

fuel pump failure causing camshaft damage? Wth is going on w/ this scoot?

That was fascinating -- I watched the whole 20 minutes. (YT/Google Translate does a much better job with, say, German -- I subscribe to Scooteria. At times, the translation was sort of comical.) Way above my pay grade, but I enjoyed watching it. I can see how a typical shop wouldn't want to...

    2025 TPMS

A very useful report to folks here who have the equipment that you have. I assume that this is NOT your problem, but just to make sure: you are aware that you won't get a pressure readout until the bike gets up to 19mph (I believe), right? On the other hand, once installed neither will you get...

    Fault in engine control..again!

I don't know what "normal" is, but the one time that I needed an engine problem diagnosed, well, it certainly took a looooong time. Check out my time-line in the first two posts of this thread I started two years ago...

BMW C 400X DAYLIGHT not working

Do the main headlights still work? Does the engine still start? That is, can you still ride the bike? I'm trying to get more information about the problem.

    1) It’s only money. You read post 74 here, in which @SkipS got it done for less cash? 2) You get my off-site email?

    Bullet brake!

Personally, I would separate the two functions. That is, if you want something to function as a parking brake, and have it be a little slicker and a little easier to put on than a bungee cord, I would: - Do what @NMdesertracer did, i.e., install the elegant and ultra-convenient Bullet Brake...

    Bullet brake!

Ah, you make some excellent points. When I park in my garage, I always put the sidestand down, and then, with the sidestand still deployed, I raise it on the centerstand. And then I fold up the sidestand up (because I don't want to confuse the situation the next time I get on the bike, and...

    Bullet brake!

Sure. You're talking about TPMS, right? If so, sorry, my answer got mixed in with a "2025 TPMS" thread, even though I have a '23. Here's the link to my successful result, mixed into a very long thread. Start with this particular post, and read forward or backward after that, if you like...

fuel pump failure causing camshaft damage? Wth is going on w/ this scoot?

Sorry to here that corporate wimped out on you, didn't show you any love. That's a tough call, what to do now. I don't know what I'd do, and I guess it's highly dependent on how much discretionary income you have, how old you are, how tired of dealing with some of the downsides that life throws...
