yesterday i heard a 650 gt with the camchain rattle...........trust me, you would know you had this problem!!
the guy said he also has the whirring noise so looks like i will find out.
I havnt heard the noise yet, i know mine makes a noise from the drive chain on the slippers it runs on.
You guys seem pretty confident that your noises are coming from the right hand side so something variator related.
All i can think is that i once owned a piaggio 125typhoon and a mate had an...
It is a scooter only tool to remove cams but shouldnt be a problem without as long as you are carefull and undo each nut a turn at a time and lift evenly.
You say you have ruined them? How are they ruined?
you can buy sleeves of foam or rubber that would slide over and cover the grip, this would take away the need to replace if just the rubber worn out.
Other than that im affraid you will need to replace but not a hard job to do.
i did manage to get over on monday for the day, flew over first thing......then flew back to liverpool because they wouldnt land in the fog!!! re-fueled then back over, lol. had a great day but was only a foot passenger so had a few beers then back the same day.
nice find, i havn't seen anything relating to this here in the uk yet but i will be asking tomorrow. touch wood, i havn't had a problem yet but better to be on the safe side.
if anyone has this recall done, could you please find out the part number, thank you.
the sensor in the pic isn't a c600/650 one, it is from an r1200 gs lc. all sensors from all models have about the same travel for the float, the stops are circlips. i hope this pic takes away any fears you guy's have on the subject of your oil warning light's and your main check should be what...
Basically, these motors are a partial dry sump and the level is changing all the time, the oil level sensor is a pipe with a float attached to it and the difference between upper and lower is less than half an inch. Fill your oil to the upper level and all will be ok. I will post a pic of a...
I havnt come.accross any of these problems yet on thr 650gt's, nick2003black, yours sounds like an ecu problem, could be wiring to it. Get your dealer to plug it in and its worth seeing if it has had a software update. The update was something to do with the clocks and whilst it updates it...
Love mine too mate, had a crackin ride up to the lakes on sunday and suprised a few bikes. If i would have known you were coming to liverpool, i would have met up!! when do you sail back??
Thank you, much apreciated if you can. I was.looking at the rizoma one but just can't justify the price. One challenge i have made for myself sometime this year is having a go at carbon fibre, so you just never know!!
The footboard plate screw holds on the panel to fill, this will also help you see the level. I check mine by waiting till everything is cold and shine my phone light up between the gap between exhaust down pipes and back of expansion tank so it shines through to light up coolant.
