The official word from Givi is: "the plates included in the kit are to give support to the windshield since it is quite high. If you mounted it without these and it is still well attached, the only downside is with regard to the warranty, which may not apply in case of problems or breakage"

I've tried switching that setting off and on again - it still only shows Average Speed on my bike.

I've seen other's screen shots of the Journey page and they have Maximum Speed showing. Mine only shows Average Speed, which I find virtually useless. I cannot see anything in the Settings to change this - in Journey Settings I've already got "Record Speed"ticked. Any ideas?
