As far as I know, the answer is neither.is this a standard included feature for the model OR does it have to be added to the software at the dealer? thanks
What dealership is that? While at the dealership Saturday they asked if I would like them to do the tpms upgrade on the 24 model, which made me wonder if it was one of the 25 upgrades they did with all the others?
In the DFW areaWhat dealership is that?
I’d like to call them myself, and then maybe have the service manager at Max in Troy call them. I got the impression that the latter doesn’t know about this option. In the DFW area
Thanks -- I just sent an email to Brien. The GM(brien) is the person who told me that the 2024 was able for a tpms upgrade per the info he was looking at on the computer in the bmw system? So if you call and speak with the svc mgr tell him to go and ask/confirm with the boss!! Good luck

REPORT: CALL WITH BRIEN MEHLER, RE TPMS:
This is the email I sent to Brien Mehler (the GM at European Cycle Sports, Plano, TX -- see https://www.europeancyclesports.com/learn-more-about-our--xstaff) on July 20 (the day @MeSeaHunt wrote his post #7, above):

TPMS Modification for 2023 C 400 GT
Mr. Mehler,
I own a 2023 C 400 GT, but live in New York state, a little too far for me to have service done at your shop.
I recently read on a BMW scooter forum that your team offers to add internal TPMS sensors to the C 400 GT, along with making the necessary changes to the firmware on the bike, such that the relevant information is displayed on the bike's TFT.
I had researched this issue myself over the past winter, and it certainly looked like such a change is an option on these scooters.
However -- and this is the reason I'm writing -- the service manager at my local BMW dealership (MAX BMW, at their shop in Troy, NY) didn't seem aware that this was possible when I had some service performed there last fall. Or possibly I wasn't clear enough in stating what I wanted.
I will bring this issue up again with the service department at MAX's in a few days. If I still get a blank stare, I wonder if you could:
1) Double-check that adding TPMS to a late-model C 400 GT is an option approved by BMW Motorrad.
2) And assuming you're correct, would you mind if I ask someone at MAX's to contact you (via phone or email, whatever you prefer) about this option?
Thank you for your time.
Regards,

Not getting any response, I phoned him today.
He apparently didn't get, or didn't read, that email. He told me that he was certain that internal TPMS as an "accessory" (his word) could be added to the C 400 GT (as @MeSeaHunt reported), along with corresponding firmware changes, both done by your friendly neighborhood BMW dealer. I mentioned that I had a '23 C 400 GT, and he said he wasn't sure of that, but that he was sure of the '24s, and that whether this could be accomplished was "based on VIN."
I told him that I would touch base (more clearly than in the past) with my local dealer. He offered to check my VIN if I had no luck with them (which was nice).
I will, in fact, swing by my local place on one of my next rides, perhaps on Friday.
Next, I rechecked the parts fiche from MAX BMW. You'll note at https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/partsfiche.aspx that there are entries for "C400GT 18" and "C400GT 21." Clicking on the latter takes you to https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/DiagramsMain.aspx?vid=62062&rnd=10232024 , and the heading on that page is:
C400GT 21 (K08)
Production: 04/20-05/24 USA
If you scroll all the way down the diagrams, you come to this:

Note that bit about "NOT FOR VEHICLES WITH KEYLESS RIDE (CODE: X193A)." Correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume that means a bike with a fob, which is what my former '22 C 400 GT had and which my current '23 has.
In that next bit, "RDC" is BMW-speak for TPMS.
I don't know if those two "AND" really mean "OR" in terms of logic. If they really mean AND then the note is saying, "If you already have TPMS installed, then don't get this."
On the other hand, if they really mean OR, then the note is saying, "If you have a fob, or if you have a recent ('22 - '24? '23 - '24?) C 400 GT then you can't use this part."
Bottom line: I still don't know what's going on, and I'm not sure I can go by what Mr. Mehler thinks he knows. The Service Manager at MAX in Troy, NY, that I was used to dealing with is no longer listed in the Staff Directory there, so maybe I'll get a different answer when I attempt to clarify the issue.
No, here's a better bottom line: unless and until I read of someone's actually having this change made -- internal TPMS added, and corresponding TFT-related changes -- I still don't believe it, but I'll try to keep an open mind. And by "someone" I mean an owner in the USA, working through a BMW dealership in the USA (as opposed to, say, independent tech Phad in Thailand).
Once again, I'll report back with any new findings.
Thanks for the wish, and sorry about your former hassle. This is what I expected from BMW Motorrad… confusion. No one can provide a definitive yes or no answer. Each person you ask gives you a different answer.
I bought the BMW ConnectedRide cradle when it first released from Europe. My local BMW Canada dealership indicated it should work out of box. BMW USA indicated the GPS option had to be enabled.
I opened a support ticket with BMW Connected for support. I spent 3 weeks explaining and re-explaining the issue to them.
Eventually just gave up & shipped the ConnectedRide cradle back to Europe. This fiasco costed me $$$$$ for shipping to and from as well as tariffs paid.
I expected BMW to have a knowledge base library of articles for these types of questions. For example, can TPMS be added to the C400GT? Is the ConnectedRide cradle compatible with the C400GT? If yes, this is what’s required. If no, this is why.
My rant for the day!
Good luck!

If he just didn't get back to me, I will show him a copy of my email -- to refresh his memory -- and ask him to consider the situation right now.So what are you going to say if he just didn’t get back with you???
I have learned a lesson here AGAIN not just on this issue but ALL that has come up with a bmw machine which is; they have gotten like every other company in that customer service has NO priority for them post sale!!! It’s almost impossible to even be able to speak to anyone in customer support, and if you do it’s because you waited on hold forever…. BMW Motorad USA has become a JOKE!!!
The other thing I have learned is that the USA scooter market is currently the worst in the world, manfs are not putting $ into it and they imo could care less if it moves forward in the states, as witnessed by the model selection differences, and when speaking to reps at a dealer or show they say as well this market is not $ generating…
so when you go in there and you think this person has some sort of intelligence and knowledge of this, inquire if this MOD can or cannot be done up to the current machine??? wish ya luckIf he just didn't get back to me, I will show him a copy of my email -- to refresh his memory -- and ask him to consider the situation right now.
