Why do I have only two fuses?

In every manual version I've seen on BMW's website (including the manual that came with my '22 GT) shows seven fuses in the fuse block. I was pre-inspecting the area yesterday and noticed there are only two populated fuses in the block and the block only has metal contacts for two fuses.

Is this normal? The scoot otherwise runs and functions 'totally normal.'

Thanks

BTW- using @byee's fuse tap idea.. Brilliant

Oh, for heaven's sake: "Made you look, you dirty crook, you stole your mother's pocketbook!"

Okay, you made me look at the fuse compartment, something I'd never done before, even though I've had the battery compartment door off a few times, on both my former '22 C 400 GT and on my current '23 C 400 GT.

But before I just went out to the garage and removed the four T25 screws, I looked at the PDF versions I have of the owner's manual ...

... and also the shop manual:

As you can see, they agree with your owner's manual, i.e., a bunch of fuses are listed.

Okay, then I went out to the garage and removed the cover. As Chico Marx has said (maybe in Duck Soup): "Who you gonna believe, me or your own eyes?"

Here are the pics I just took:

So it looks as if the manuals are full of baloney. Or, put another way, my '23 C 400 GT appears to be built, in terms of physical fuses and their holder, the same way that your '22 is. And I have almost 5,000 miles on my bike, and as of two days ago it appears to be functioning properly.

As @Ceesie76 said, looks like they used a parts-bin fuse holder. And my guess is that after the manuals were written (and then ignored), some of the original functions of some of the fuses were migrated to CANbus capabilities.

Bill, I was hoping you'd chime in. But you went above and beyond by pulling off your cover too. Thank you.

@byee has a picture of his fully populated fuse box. He's Canadian so perhaps it's a different model than in the US market.

I'm disappointed that the rider's and service manuals (which should be the source of truth) are erroneous in showing the additional fuses. My '22 has the premium package (heated grips and seat) and the alarm so I'd imagine it would have every necessary fuse in use.

@Ceesie76 I think you're right about this one. Curiously the fuse box is not fully populated with metal pins and the printing on the cover also shows only two fuses.

All good points. And, yep, I should've mentioned that I have the Premium variant, too -- well, heated grips and seats (and I've turned both of those on, at times, and they work), but if I have an alarm on the bike I don't know that it's there, or how to use it. (I do own a hefty physical lock, for occasional out-of-town hotel stays.)

I saw somewhere the easiest way to know is if the buttons on your remote 'do something.'

Also, there will be a setting in Settings > Vehicle Settings > Alarm if the module was installed.
