Next time you get a chance to ride a Burgman 650. Take it out on a long stretch of interstate. At 85 mine is turning 5500 rpm. When I put it in manual then to 6th gear it drops the rpm to 4500. When I get back to 5500 rpm the speedo says 95. Its still very smooth and I actually think it cuts...

I still remember the cold reception I got from the BMW dealership in Indianapolis when I wanted to check out a 650 GT. Ill just stay with the other brands until a 650 Gt comes up used somewhere.

I would not worry to much about isolated repair issues. There are brands out there that are popular and have there share of issues. Look at Harley, they are 20 % of the American market and cant pass a repair shop or a sports bar.

My favorite bike other than my step through is my other step through. I probably would have bought a GT but the BMW dealer thinks scooters are beneath there pay grade. I am still looking forward to the day I will get to ride a 650 GT.

I can tell by the picture that the rider is dressed for racing and it is on a race track some where. I hope you are not suggesting that people try this on the street.
