Thanks for the pictures. In the end I left the bracket on the bike so didn't have to undo the strut. I felt like an idiot when I realized it was only those two little plastic tabs that were preventing me from sliding the seat off the bracket. With the bracket pried up to clear those the seat came off easily. No tabs like that on the Corbin. Corbing only uses four bolts instead of the OEM's six.
