........Besides the fact that 600 guys get all the girls , what should the customer's priorities be when trying to decide between the two? We have several Burgman comparisons on this site, but is there something specific that caused you to choose the Beemer over the Suzuki maxi?

That is a good question for BMW scooter owners too. Therefore, why don't you take that question and start a new thread revolving around the reasons we bought the BMW model we did.

I have had friends, who are considering a BMW scooter, ask me that exact thing. I gave them my reasons but I think reading what others say would be even better. I'm also sure they would add things I didn't even think about.

Oh, and one new reason to consider the 600: the $1000 rebate (or whatever BMW calls it) BMW is now offering on the 600's (a rebate makes me wonder if they are going to drop the Sport model in the future).

I doubt the sport will be dropped as I understand they are popular in Europe and UK. here stateside the GT sells well as it seems to be more touring riders buying them.

I don't mind starting a new thread but since steveADV posted the question I didn't want to be rude by taking his question and making it look as if it were mine. I will give it a few days and see.

I appreciate you being so considerate and we do have thread or two on the subject already (the one Jaime mentions above and one from last November: BMW Sport or GT vs Burgman 650 Exec plus a couple others probably), they do get kinda lost after awhile. So, ideas and comments from new members and prospective owners sometimes need a new thread. Feel free to add your own.

NOTE: Of course, for efficiency sake, using the site search engine should be everyone's first stop.

I almost bought a burgy when they were 0% interest, but, couldn't get over the bloated looks. Looking at the Sport, I think "sport bike" rather then scooter.
