There is still three feet of snow around my house, and my driveway is turning to mud quick, so I won't be riding for a while. Yet thirty miles South in Boston and Cambridge
I saw numerous bikes around the city streets, and there is still quite a bit of snow left along the streets. In Cambridge, I saw probably thirty Police bikes lined up by Harvard business school.I imagine there was someone important there to speak, and this was the motorcade squad. 55 Degrees, warmest it's been in a couple of months. Maybe winter is winding down.

I forgot to tell you guys I made it out of NY on Sunday and made it to "South of the Border" in Dillon, SC by nightfall. Left Monday morning and arrived here in Daytona Beach last night. It's in the 80s down here and I'm LOVING it. I took the K1200LT, the C650GT will get ridden when I get back this weekend (assuming it DOESN'T snow on Sunday; they're predicting a "wintery mix" the last time I looked). Wish me luck!!

Felt pretty doggone good to get on the road, I bet. Hard to describe getting on your own bike; a rental is not the same. The bike in your garage is like an old friend.

After over 3 months of no ride winter, I went out 3 times this past few days and it was amazing. Now today I go and pick up my new 2013 C600 Sport at the dealership. Life is good!

I've put over 1,600 miles on it since Sunday. It's roughly 1,100 miles back home so I think I made up for the lack of riding this winter this week alone.

But I bet like me you had the grips and seat heated! Was cool here in Toronto at the freezing point but well below with wind chill.

Honestly, it has been so cold here that the 45 degree temps last night felt almost summer like. We still need a good rain to wash some of the road salt away. I was a little nervous around some of the corners. My co-worker who has a C600 too rode his in to work today. his first ride of the year too.

Good pictures. Did you go on the Great Movie Ride at Disney World ? If you did you might have run into my son, he works there, and sometimes the Star Wars ride.

You know what's better than caffeine in the morning to wake you up? Hitting black ice in a curve on the way to work! Don't know how I managed to keep "Snoopy" up on two wheels, but DAMN!!

First time I've ridden the scooter since early January. Other than the panic attack, it was GOOD!! Took advantage of all of the available heating options, too. Those 85 degree days in Daytona Beach seem so long ago already...

Scary. That's why I typically won't ride here when temps dip below freezing even if it may warm up by the afternoon. There are a few car washes on my way to the office. There have been occasions where their water run off has caused sheets of ice out on the road. We also get a lot of standing water under viaducts/bridges here in Chicago.

I rode for about 50 miles yesterday. It felt great. I was still a little cautious though. The temps were pushing 60 and it was sunny, but the road debris is still pretty bad. A ton of salt around corners still.

Took a drive from Napa to Reyes Point on the Pacific Ocean. Then down PCH (Highway 1) to the Golden Gate and through the rec areas to Fort Cronchite. Lunch in Sausalito then back through Sonoma. Temp dropped to 66 in some of the more tree shaded areas of PCH but mostly 71 - 80 degrees. I know what some folks say about California (which is all true) but wow - it is awesome. The whole thing took about 5 hours. Come visit!
