Went to the White Mountains recently. Took some pictures of one of the retired cog railway engines.IMG_0290.jpgIMG_0287.jpgIMG_0296.jpgIMG_0292.jpg

Notice the rack between the rails, and the gears that drive the engine up the steep grade. You motor heads should like this.

Here are some from a Vintage Rally at Owls Head Museum,P8300323.jpg Maine labor day weekend. I'll start with a scooter since this is a scooter forum.P8300320.jpg Yep, a Harley Davidson TOPPER scooter. Some one here was dissing them, but, I kind of liked it.

P8300306.jpg My Sport was the only BMW scooter at the rally, with about 5 or 6 Silverwings and a couple of Burgers. Except for the Topper, I can't remember any other antique scoots being there.

P8300314.jpgP8300315.jpg There were lots of antique BMW's there, although a lot of those didn't look old enough to be antiques. Maybe I am getting to old and are catching up to them.

When I was in my teens, I wanted one of these Ducati's. One of my favorite engines for looks. They were supposed to be good race bikes.

P8300387.jpgP8300389.jpg A Bridgestone 175, I think it was a 1967, with 3500 miles, unrestored. A friend of mine rode one of these to college in Alaska from Boston in around 1968.

They have antique airplanes there too. I think most of their collection is flown, and they had several flying during the show.
