Happy Birthday to my buddy Josh who got a fully restored Salsbury from his girlfriend. Our parties always end up looking like a bike show. Thruxton, Bonneville, Shovelhead Chopper, P200e, Lambretta TV175 (kitted Mugello 190), late '50's Ape, T5, and a load of other Scoots and a C600Sport.

If anyone has ever seen Scoot! Magazine, Josh was one of the two owners of that now defunct publication. His collection of bikes is interesting. Everything Vespa and This lovely beast. It's a 125cc and is a '47 or '48. The rider sits in a Super relaxed seating position and you just rest your palms on the bars. I have another friend with a Salsbury that has a Ninja 250 under the hood that competed in the cannonball a few years back. Now that I think of it, another Los Gatos Vespa Club member put the same 250 Ninja in a Fuji Rabbit.

That young lady should be wearing a helmet! Maybe I should buy an Italian scooter. They seem more accessorized than the BMW.

European Day at the Lars Anderson Museum. There were two BMW scoots at the rally. My Sport and one not a GT.P9070514.jpgP9070515.jpgP9070513.jpg
Can you guess which one got more attention??

I very much would like a C1

I don't know which engine that one had, but, I think they were 400 lbs with a 125cc engine or maybe 170CC. Either way it's mostly a curiosity. I didn't get to talk to the guy who brought it. I did see a for sale sign in the trunk.

Yes, italjet dragster... Very similar to the even more popular Runner 180. Hub center steering made that model attractive to many people.
