No sorry its normally 30 degree c in summer. Winter gets to below O c . but we only have a maximum of 3 months cold weather a year. The rest is just good to ride

Got mine done today at 5700 miles. It probably would have lasted for the life of the bike with no intervention, but it's been on my mind and I'm glad to have it behind me. Might be my imagination, but the bike sounded less harsh especially on rapid acceleration, with the new part installed.

That is good to hear. I am curious though. And considering I just had my "recall" work done....I never asked what new part was installed. Is there a specific part(s)?

Yes. On my service report, the specific part is called out as Part No. 11 31 8 544 896 "CHAIN TENSIONER"

Don't know if that's the info you were looking for...........

Had my timing chain tensioner recall done on Tuesday, 9/30. Glad to have it done although I've had no problems with the original after around 2000 miles. I guessed that the work would take some time, and it did. About 3 hours. My dealer has good, solid mechanics but my C 600 Sport is only one of two of its kind that the dealer has sold. Just so, the mechanic was dealing with body panels and mechanical systems he hadn't had any previous experience with. All good in the end with no sound or operational changes that I could discern.

Got mine changed Saturday (10-04-14) can not tell any difference. Mechanic said it was his 4th and noted no difference in any of them.

Hi there r,
I had a C600 that went through a clutch every 4000miles, 3sets of switches, after a year I traded it in for a C650GT two months ago.
It has been in the dealer for the last month, it was cutting out and then the red triangle came on so took it back 3 times,
They say they can't find the fault and keep following requests from BMW UK. It's a great scooter but I am begining to get to the point where enough is enough.

Seriously? No, really. Yeah maybe "enough is enough". I'm thinking the scooters agree.
