I have a 2013 BMW K1600 motorcycle besides my C650 scooter and there are many reports of catastrophic K1600 (6 cylinder, 1,600 cc) engine failures where BMW have had to replace those engines under warranty.
The C600/650 scooter engines have a common fault where the timing chain can 'skip' and...
I don't think incorrect installation of brake pads or the tire/wheel caused the bearing failure, however I am not an expert and recommend you consider hiring one to diagnose this with the shop that did the work, if you think it's possible/likely they caused this and you want to try and make...
Just took a look at my own bike. Shop is talking about one of the two rear wheel bearings that has failed catastrophically. The one thing that comes to mind is what if they installed the pads or the rear wheel incorrectly, could that cause that bearing to fail? But then you would have felt a...
Sorry to hear about your troubles. The photos confuse me a bit. The first one appears to show that there was something very wrong with the rear brake caliper/disc/pads. Pads don't cause drag as they 'bed in', much less cause the kind of damage that seems visible in the photo, so that part of the...
Maybe look at parts sites like this one, with BMW drawings:

Did you put on weight?
Maybe double check how tight/solidly the center stand rests against the stop, and check whether perhaps that stop is no longer in the same place it used to be / in the correct place? Is the tire the correct height spec?
X2 on the cam chain tensioner. Stop engine until it's replaced. Likely the noise will be gone but if not you have eliminated the most likely and potenially disastrous cause. Search on this site, tons of info for you.
Maybe the mechanic can check the play in the end transmission chain to see whether it's time to move up to the next-bigger size (of 4) of the chain guide rail. And replace the final drive gear oil.
Funny, I regularly say to myself how much I enjoy all the mechanical and exhaust noises my stock 2016 Sport makes. Would not change or try and muffle any of it. To each their own, clearly!
Best of luck - I am monitoring my mechanical tensioner, no 3 in 18,000 miles, and have 4 new ones sitting on the shelf to replace whenever I start hearing too much of the death rattle.
Fingers crossed that BMW Australia will do the right thing.
I would count the number of teeth to get confirmation that the old and new sprockets are the same, effectively. I would bet that they are, if the parts manual only provides one option.
I got them off Ebay (US), here's one that is located in Malaysia, that could be a good option for you being in Australia, cost is $38 plus shipping etc...
I am not surprised it needed no 2 rather than no 1 since when I opened up my bike for the very first time, it also had a no 2 that for sure had been there since new from the factory.
The link you posted is not for the timing chain tensioner - it's a guide rail setup for the final drive chain after the transmission. They wear, but slowly and is not the cause of the noise you are hearing.
I replaced my transmission belt not too long ago at 18K miles and the old one was barely...
