I finally got my Carpuride installed. And a garage door opener button. I had to take the top handle bar cover off, left side panel off, Windshield, and little cover under the windshield. I found the little 3 prong plug under the handle bar cover. I plugged the adapter I got from Amazon in. Hooked up the positive and negative leads. The third one is just folded back and taped it to the bundle. I ran the lead from the Carpuride from the plug into the space behind the little cover I took off under the windshield. I was able to feed it up to right at the bracket I was putting the Carpuride on. The cable is hidden with just the end that attaches to the Carpuride showing. I then took all the excess cable and coiled it up and zip tied it together and then to the wire loom that the plug was attached to. I left all the lead on the Carpuride. I guess I could have cut it shorter and put the fuse back in line. As it is, if I need to get to the fuse all I have to do is take the top handle bar cover off.
The unit had a bolt that went thru the mount on the back to tighten it on so it wouldn’t move. It had a end that reminded me of a wing nut. I thought very easy to remove. I replaced it with a socket cap head screw that took an Allen wrench to remove. I tightened it down real good and put a lock nut on the other end. It is very sturdy and I feel a little secure from easy removal.
I am able to see it real good because of the size, 7”. And also the speedometer. I have to lean to one side the see the info on the top of the display. Unfortunately I can’t use the vent in the windshield. Oh well. The 5” one was just too small to see real good and to control
I got the 702Pro. I connected the phone to it and then the helmet to it. The Carpuride controls everything. It evens has an equalizer in it.
I was also able to Bluetooth my phone to the Scooter and it shows what the speed limit is supposed to be where I am at.
I also put in a button to control a Garage Door Opener.
