A nice shiny new Beemer. Congrats Rui. It's a beauty!

Thanks Steve

As I don't understand almost nothing of technical issues (that's what BMW Motorrad dealers are for...) I'll post pictures of some rides/trips I do with my wife.

Hi, new member from Johnston, IA. I don't have a C yet, but planning on one next spring. I currently have a K1600GTL. Am getting a C650GT for my wife but, after test riding one, I want one!! It was a very nice ride. Anyway, I'll be lurking and learning from you guys about these awesome machines. I think I've already seen a K1600Forum member over here. T6Pilot, is that you??

Hey Cap...Welcome to the Cspot. Other K owners here, too. Not surprised how you felt about the Beemer maxi CGT after giving it a try. Just don't make the mistake of slipping over to the C600/650 side. Those guys are a bunch of rabble rousers. They drink your booze and steal your women....common knowledge.

Had a Honda Helix for years, it died. Rode my 3 vintage BMWs since then, two R60/2, one with sidecar; and a 1973 R/75/5, all fantastic bikes in their own rights. Traded 2 in just now for a 2016 c650gt! All is good now but looking ahead glad I found you guys so I can steady myself for the bumpy maintenance road that leads to uninterrupted pleasure on two wheels. Doug (of course cash was involved in the trade/purchase!)

Hail all. New BMW scooter owner from beautiful West Palm Beach, Florida, where it always is riding weather. In addition to my C650GT, I own and ride a 2016 BMW R-Nine-T, a 2013 Goldwing F6B, and a 2007 Honda 919. I had the Suzuki Burgman before I got my C650GT and loved it. I like riding the BMW scooter even more. I'm a retired journalist and I've been riding motorcycles for almost 40 years.

Welcome to the group, Charles. My daughter lives in West Palm a block east of Howley's. Dined at Two George's a couple of weeks ago, during a visit.

Lurker coming out of hiding....
Got my 2013 650GT a couple of months ago for commuting. Traded in my 2010 800gs for it. Been riding for 17 to 18 years and this if my first scooter. Had everything from sport bikes to a Harley. I love the storage space and that I can ride to work with my dress pants on. It also saves me about an hour here in SoCal some days with my 36 mile commute. Still waiting for my Shad luggage to come, but have already added my GPS from the 800 and a RAM mount for the cell phone/Pandora. Also added the Wunderlich lower deflectors. Coming up on 20,000 miles, but it had 12,000 when I got it. Next on the list is the Dr Pulley and additional lighting.
Still a love/hate with the automatic transmission, though most days I love it.

Hi all.

I picked up my new Black 2016 C 650 GT on January 19. I'm a decades long owner of BMW and other bikes. I had a 2015 C 650 briefly. I put several hours on the new bike on Friday and enjoyed it more than any bike that I have ridden in years. The bike was delivered with the preload set at 2 and I found the setting to be mushy so I reset it to 4 and there is a noticeable improvement. It seems to me that the new bike could become my regular two wheeled vehicle.

So, Rolf, you went from a '15 to a '16? Hopefully, no accidents etc. was the reason. In any case, glad you're here. Post a picture or two when you get a chance.

Steve,

Within days of buying the 2015 there was a recall and the dealer said that I shouldn't operate the bike until the part came in. He ended up taking it back as a courtesy and I bought another BMW bike. Fast forward to a couple of months ago. I had an opportunity to test a 2016 and IMO, it is a much different bike. I think that the center stand operation is much easier and that the bike's performance is improved particularly from a stop. I have never had a bike that pleased me as much as this one from the first time that I rode it.

Proud New Owner!

Just picked up my new 650GT on Friday and I freakin' love it. Too bad it's raining this week. Oh well, 350 riding days ahead. I plan on integrating my garage remote with a single button through some part of the body, maybe inside the compartment door and also making a better cell mount. I had the GPS mount installed and just used the rod to mount a clamp-type holder, it's ok; but a little too close to me and a little low. Also, the tunnel bag is too big and too easily detached for daily use. First bike with heated seats and heated grips, love those features, but I won't use them most of the year. I may also look for a windshield that is about an inch or two taller. Lastly, I was told the seat was not adjustable, but quickly found out it was, just thought I would share that in case your scoot doesn't fit quite right.

Hello NM (older rider) from Central Florida. Purchased a 2016 GT (Frozen Bronze) in Dec during BMW's end-of-year sale. Been riding bikes my whole life. My first car was a 1970 Kawasaki H1 Mach III back in the day when I was 10 feet tall and bullet proof and we all thought we were Evel Knievel. First Scooter was a 1985 Peugeot. Last one was a 2006 Burgman. Truly love this 2016 Beamer.

Greetings and Salutations!
I just bought a 2013 c650gt for $5900 OTD that has just over 10k miles and some aftermarket accessories. I think I got a great deal because the previous owner has bought 6 BMWs from the same dealer and has had all the maintenance records to prove his diligence. Originally, I was apprehensive about BMW bikes, with friends saying "BMW = Bring More Wallet!", but high quality is what you pay for. It had been decades since I had ridden a motorcycle until I passed my BRC just 5 months ago. I was interested in the Honda CTX700 DCT because I sadly do not play for the Celtics and the seat was not only my height but comfy and the automatic transmission was my idea of easy breezy. So while saving my money to pay in cash I get a Facebook listing of this monster of a scooter on sale. So I took the test drive, got up to 70 in a school zone (kidding), and was hooked.
Who am I? I have worked commercial logistics most of my adult life because I came up short in the porn industry. Now, as I pass my mid-life crisis years, I have two handsome nephews in Phoenix (who cause their uncle many many bruises) that I would like visit often as I tour America's treasured lands. This "scooter" is perfect for my needs...and just saved me alot of dough.

Ooops, just made a mistake.
Posted a new thread before I saw this one ...

So here I go again with a "hello" from Melbourne.
"Thank you!" for taking me into the fold.

I am about to become a happy owner of a 2017 CS650Sport here in downunder.
After decades of riding bikes, several of them BMW and after having just completed a 25.000km tour from Valdivostok to Spain, I am ready to 'step down' or should I say "Step Over!" to a scoot.
I always oogled the C1 when it came out 20 years or so ago. NIL in Australia, but I see many when in Germany - still riding around and looking remarkably different.
Now it's time! - the white C650 Sport will soon arrive. Have already in mind doing a 6000km round-trip Melbourne - Cairns (Far-North Queensland) and back. This should give me a good settling-in period

Already I have studied the many post on accessories etc - shall report back when I've put on some myself.
As I have been doing most work on my bikes myself, I wonder where to get a maintenance manual for this scoot - any ideas?
Thank you & stay up-right!
